Fixing Mixed-up Zune Imports of CD Tracks -- and WP7

I know I'm being a little proactive here, since it'll be months before real users have WP7 devices in their hot little hands, but...

If you're a Zune or ZuneHD user, you probably already have had this problem, and WP7 folks will as well.

The problem happens when you're loading an old CD, or the tracks from an old LP. I have a USB turntable and have been ripping some of my jazz LPs from the 60s and the Zune doesn't know where to find this stuff.

In my LP case, the Zune player ends up just shunting my content to an unknown location. But sometimes, it will mixup disc 1 and disc 2 information.

I have an easy solution to repair these situations.

Deploy and Update a LightSwitch (Beta 1) 3-tier Application
Michael Washington has a big ol' post up as well... another great Lightswitch tutorial on deploying and updating a Lightswitch app.
Silverlight Binary Serialization
Mike Talbot figured out a way to get my attention and all his recent posts to surface -- he 'carpet bombed' me with them all... all good, too ... this first is on his own implementation of a binary serializer for Silverlight that doesn't need to know about known types. Other posts I have aggregated by Mike are:
Step-by-Step Guide to Silverlight Shape Controls
In this second of two posts on shape controls in Silverlight, Kunal Chowdhury is demonstrating using all the basic shapes in Blend.
WP7: Relative Date Time Converter
Nigel Sampson's latest WP7 outing is an interesting Date/Time converter that reports back something on the order of '10 minutes ago' rather than 9:00 PM ... interesting ...
How Large Should Your Windows Phone 7 Apps Be?
Shawn Wildermuth takes aim at a subject I've heard brought up - MEF for WP7 ... read what this WP7 master has to say about that.
Talking Ragdoll for Windows Phone 7
Andy Beaulieu is a graphics and physics guru... check out his latest WP7 outing ... a talking ragdoll and you get to put a head on it from a photo, and then have it say back what you want... fun stuff, Andy!
Using Microsoft Word to Create Reports For LightSwitch (or Silverlight)
Beth Massi has a big ol' post up on COM automation with Lightswitch to produce output reports in Word ... oh, and this can be used for Silverlight as well... looks pretty cool
An animated swipe-enabled title control for Windows Phone 7
You need to check out the video Joost van Schaik has at the top of this blog... cool swipe-able header control that is also blendable... and the code is downloadable.
Type.GetType implementation with help of XamlReader
Beat Kiener discusses Type.GetType and how it's different in Silverlight. He then discusses a couple alternatives and finally settles on a solution of his own using XamlReader... code and demo included.
RelativeSource Binding with FindAncestor mode in Silverlight
Beat Kiener also has a post up on RelativeSource binding, and how Silverlight is missing the FindAncestor mode that WPF has. He started with some code from Colin Eberhart and fleshed out a workable solution, and once again has the code and demo included.
Creating Scrollable TextBlock for WP7
priozersk has a post up that I'm surprised we haven't seen before: a scrollable TextBlock for WP7 ...

Stay in the 'Light!
