Shoutouts:

John Papa is on Deep Fried Bytes: Silverlight 4 Tools and RIA Services as Heard on Deep Fried Bytes

Jaime Rodriguez has some help up for those that are having problems moving from the CTP to Beta bits: Tips for uninstalling the Windows Phone Developer Tools CTPs and moving to beta

Koen Zwikstra reports an update: Document Toolkit 2 Release Candidate ... check out the feature list and demo... get started using it.

From SilverlightCream.com:

Using the BackgroundWorker in a Silverlight MVVM Application
Jim Jackson's had some of this posted for a while, but I didn't know about it... this first one is MVVMLight and using the BackgroundWorker to push long-running tasks onto a background thread... and he's got all the code included.
Uploading a File to SQL Server via Silverlight, WCF and EF
In the second post by Jim Jackson, he's got code uploading a large file to SQL Server using WCF and EF... this isn't ready for prime-time (security-wise), but the code is there to play with.
Silverlight for Windows Phone 7: “Tombstoning”
Alex Golesh points out to us what "Tombstoning" is on WP7. We all know we can't run in the background, so what happens when my app is running, and the user rudely decides to run yours?
UI Updates With Databinding and INotifyPropertyChanged
Dustin Horne has a post up making use of INotifyPropertyChanged and DataBinding to do some clever mouse-positioning capturing ... I'm thinking allowing UI customization by users and retaining their information... fun stuff... plus all the code.
Protecting your Silverlight application from a hijacking
Sl.ayer's latest post on Silverlight Security is a good read... and something we should all be aware of.
Windows Phone Developer Tools Beta Released
xprblog has 'not just another' post up about the WP7 Beta bits ... they've got a pretty good break-out of the new features.
[Game of] Life in Silverlight 4
Mike James has the game of Life up on Silverlight 4 and a multi-page post about it on his blog... funny when I read the title "Life in Silverlight 4" ... I didn't think of the game at first -- oops :)
Updated code to easily animate orientation changes for any Windows Phone application
David Anson has an update to his previous post on smoothly animating orientation changes in WP7 based on the Beta release.

Stay in the 'Light!
