From SilverlightCream.com:

Basic Silverlight View Model Validation
Michael Washington is discussing Validation in ViewModels this time, and is demonstrating validating that the data entered matches the underlying type.
Implementing Facebook authentication in a Silverlight out-of-browser application
Following his GraphLight post, Sl.ayer demonstrates Facebook authentication in an OOB app... this is not without a few hurdles to overcome, but he demonstrates doing so.
Designing the Windows Phone 7 “Mix Zoomery” app
András Velvárt discusses the technical details, UI decisions, and details behind the WP7 Zoomery app he demo'd recently.
Enabling buttons in Silverlight and WPF using MVVM and ValidatesOnExceptions
Jag Reehal walks through not only his thought process but tests and code to determine if controls should be enabled in a ViewModel based upon values in other controls.
Using IDataErrorInfo for validation in MVVM with Silverlight and WPF
In his next post, Jag Reehal uses IDataErrorInfo for validation, once again with tests, code, and lots of discussion.
Balder 0.8.8.7 out
Einar Ingebrigtsen announces the latest release of Balder with a big shopping list of features.
Making the Most of Silverlight Text Rendering
Robby Ingebretsen has a post that you should probably bookmark to go back through now and again... if he's giving hints on text rendering, I for one am listening!
State of Data Access in Silverlight 4
Shawn Wildermuth touches on a prior post about the state of data Access in Silverlight with some updated information, and he has built a chart to help you decide the way to go.
Silverlight in Action Book Excerpt: Creating a Custom Panel
Pete Brown has another book excerpt posted .. this one is about building a custom layout panel arranging items in an 'orbital' pattern... check it out!
Silverlight Media Framework 2 released–integrate with Live Writer
Tim Heuer discusses the new Silverlight Media Framework release and exactly how he uses it to embed media into blog posts with Live Writer... if ya wanna get started with video, check this out!
Quick Steps to displaying data using PivotViewer and Silverlight
Tim Heuer has a second post up that's a nice intro tutorial to using the Pivot control. Lots of external links and pretty much everything you need to get started.
Caliburn.Micro Soup to Nuts Pt. 1 – Configuration, Actions and Conventions
Rob Eisenberg has a couple more posts up about the Caliburn.Micro he talked about in the last post. This one takes you through downloading the framework to building the Hello World program using it... you'll want to check out all the comments and responses as well.
Caliburn.Micro Soup to Nuts Pt. 2 – Customizing The Bootstrapper
In part 2, Rob Eisenberg is discussing the bootstrapper class, and is also using MEF in this example. If you're using Caliburn instead of Caliburn.Micro, be aware you don't have a bootstrapper.
A Simple Twitter Panel in Silverlight
Roger Peters implemented a Twitter panel for his blog and then decided to not only share the code but describe some of the interesting bits along the way.
Silverlight Output Protection
I think I can safely say this is the first article I've seen on Output Protection. snoutholder suggests "this post will be a bit arcane to most", but it's worth a read just to know what it's all about.
Now children, is all that Name-calling really necessary? Using FrameworkElement.Name at runtime
We had a post a couple days ago about x:Name and now Wolf Schmidt has one up talking about naming elements... if you wonder "are FrameworkElement.Name and the x:Name attribute really the same thing?" then you should read this... lots of external links and tons of good information.
Authorization Sample 301
Kyle McClellan has a link back to his prior Authorization post, which you may want to check out. This one is an in-depth look at the authorization engine and what it all means.

Stay in the 'Light!
