Silverlight Cream for June 25, 2010 -- #890

In this Issue: Emiel Jongerius, Richard Waddell Marcel du Preez, Rudi Grobler, Shawn Wildermuth, David Anson, and John Papa.

Shoutout:

Michael Scherotter announced Recording Available from LiveMeeting on Creating an Entry for the Ball Watch Silverlight Contest

From:

Emiel Jongerius has a very nice compilation of various INotifyPropertyChanged implementations, with hints and tricks about each.

Richard Waddell is digging into the Physics Helper in Silverlight 4 right on the heels of Andy Beaulieu, posting updates to CodePlex and is detailing what he's learning. If you haven't jumped on this yet, Richard's posts might be a good start.

Marcel du Preez has a nice tutorial up at SilverlightShow that is on how to build a Geo-encode app to display in Silverlight... in this case Geo-encoded FlickR images.

Rudi Grobler has a complete app up for WP7 using MVVM Light whose purpose in life is to control your Media Center... how cool is that?... oh, and the source too.

Shawn Wildermuth is working on a WP7 book and is going to blog some of the things he learns along the way. In this first of many (I hope), he is discussing manipulations and how he is duplicating an app from another device.

David Anson is discussing XAML layout and what is best for human readability. I think a lot of us have been doing this since the beginning... and his external links bear that out... all good info.

John Papa has Tomasz Janczuk join him on the latest Silverlight TV episode to discuss Duplex communication with WCF in Silverlight.

Stay in the 'Light!
