In this Issue: Colin Eberhardt, Boyan Mihaylov, Silverlight SDK, Christopher Bennage, Stephen Forte, Jacek Ciereszko, Jesse Liberty, and Mark Tucker.
I'm still at least 2 days behind, but the crunch is over, so now I can maybe catch up. From
SilverlightCream.com:
- Helpful extension methods for Show / Hide animations in Silverlight
- Colin Eberhardt is sharing some of the code he uses regularly by way of Extension Methods to Show/Hide animations, and boy that demo works great... thanks Colin!
- Creating a Skinnable Custom Control in Silverlight 3 – Part I
- Put this one down in the list for ones to bookmark, Boyan Mihaylov is starting a series on building a skinnable custome control... and this part 1 looks great!
- Silverlight designer sample code is posted
- The Silverlight SDK has a link up to the WPF and Silverlight Designer Extensibility Samples... don't stop at their page, check out the MSDN page... lots of good stuff in there.
- Saving Files from Silverlight (using Caliburn)
- Caliburn deserves a second look if you haven't yet... check out Christopher Bennage's post about saving files from Silverlight and how that's handled in Caliburn.
- WCF and Silverlight Walk Through
- Stephen Forte has a nice quick walkthrough of lashing a WCF service up to Silverlight... for some reason I've not been following him, but I am now!
- [Behaviors] TextBox Enter Button Invoke (TargetedTriggerAction)
- Jacek Ciereszko has a blog at GWB that I haven't seen before, this first post I'm blogging about is a Targetted Trigger action ... for example hitting enter on the text in a search box and having it fire the search button... very cool, and if you want, there's a Polish version as well!
- RIA Svcs Data Source Control
- Jesse Liberty has up part 3 of 3 of a series on using Entity Frameworks and .NET RIA Services and since I'm running behind, this also includes a pretty cool back-and-forth between Jesse and Ward Bell in the comments :)
- Base Classes for Custom Behaviors
- Mark Tucker took a side excursion during his game development, so I'll take it as well to point out his post on building a base class for custom Behaviors.
