Shoutouts:

James Bacon and SilverlightGirl have announced the end of their "Mashooo S Prize Silverlight Game Contest". Now it's your turn to go rate the entries (until the 21st), and then the top 10 rated go to the judges. Read their posts: Mashooo S Prize Silverlight Game Contest Rating Period and Time to rate the Silverlight games on the Mashooo S Prize .

I posted yesterday about Laurent Bugnion's MVVM Lite toolkit, well he has now posted the Silverlight version: MVVM light toolkit (Silverlight edition) posted... time to check that out I think :)

From SilverlightCream.com:
Silverlight 3 Behaviors : Double Click Trigger
I had looked at this post twice in the last two days and thought "Oh yeah... I've talked about THAT" but nooo... Nigel Sampson kicked my tires last night... great post, Nigel... Double-Clicks here we come :)
RIA Services: intro, references & something you might not yet know
Kevin Dockx gives us an intro to the .NET RIA Services platform based on his experience in the last few weeks. This intro is a tease into a series he's launching on the topic... should be good reading.
Silverlight 2 cannot access web services cross domain in SSL
Al Pascual discusses the issues surrounding Cross Domain Web Services with Silverlight and SSL. He is going to explore Silverlight 3B, and gives credit and a link to Tim Heuer for information.
Fill My Prism Region, Please
John Papa explains how Prism Regions came to the rescue on an app he's working on and gives out the code plus a bunch of advice from his experience.
SilverBullet #3 - System.Windows.Input.FocusManager
Timmy Kokke gives us the short course on finding out which control has focus and what FocusManager does for us. Note -- I added a "SilverBullet" tag for these to make them easy to find on the search page.
Principles of Design Series: Learning about Balance using Expression Design
Arturo Toledo has a video up on the Microsoft Showcase discussing Balance while working through Expression Design ... if you're not familiar with it's use, it's fun just to watch someone else push buttons :)
Deep zooming on the fly
Alexey Zakharov has a good article on the SilverlightShow site for creating multi-scale image files on the fly from existing content. He also includes some really useful links at the bottom... don't skip those!
Peanut butter jelly time [How to: Create a pleasing visual effect with Silverlight/WPF Charting]
Remember the "Jelly" chart behaviour of Richard Zadorozny? Well, David Anson has taken a shot at that with the Chart control in the Toolkit, and I knew when I saw that title that Pete's name would be in there somewhere :)... this is really fun to play with!

Stay in the 'Light!
