In this Issue: Fredrik Normén, Alex Knight, Peter Bromberg, and Al Pascual.
Shoutout:
Want $295? ok, not exactly... do you want the equivalent of $295? ... ok ok, how would you like to have what many others paid $295 for?? Well you can.. I just did! Robby Ingebretsen gave a Pre-MIX09 Workshop and not only did it get recorded, but you can watch it free: MIX09 Workship is Online Now . I'm no expert, but to the best of my knowledge this is the first time a workshop has been available like this... sweet!
From SilverlightCream.com: - A different view of the .Net RIA Services
- Fredrik Normén takes a good look at the .NET RIA Services code from a different frame of reference and demonstrates using it to create a RESTful service.
- Flicker Effect - Opacity Masks in Blend
- Alex Knight ... and yes, this one IS Alex. I gave him credit for his brother Jordan's work last week :( ... Alex had announced the opening of SilverZine.com a while back and I didn't say anything because it was just a page... but it's not just a page any more .. if you've followed any of Alex' work, you're going to love this stuff. This is the first one I picked and it's a good one!
- Silverlight 3 Note-Taker App with Local Storage
- Peter Bromberg put up a cool note-taking app in Silverlight that runs OOB, uses Isolated Storage, has popup reminders, and uses Binary Serialization... very cool demo, thanks Peter!
- Silverlight TreeView issue: Cannot set a CheckBox to IsCheck = true inside a TreeView
- Al Pascual demonstratest not only having a problem checking a checkbox inside a TreeView but also resolving the issue.
