From SilverlightCream.com:
David Kelley on "Is Silverlight 3 ready for business"
Ivan and the guys at SilverlightShow are starting an initiative to get opinions on various aspects of Silverlight 3 and LOB apps to get a handle on the viability of the (perceived?) product. David Kelley of Identity Mine is the first one up to the plate on this... check out David's comments!
Silverlight ComboBox control and data binding
This is the first post by Rockford Lhotka that I'm referencing, and he's discussing the same problem Jesse did the other day about issues surrounding binding to a ComboBox... interesting how great minds seem to move together apart, eh?
nRoute: Let's borrow some style
Rishi has been busy with nRoute... seriously! This first one is on the Action Services Infrastructure built into it. He follows with nRoute: At last a Quick Start, and then nRoute Actions: Lights, Camera, Silverlight... all very detailed and complete... quite a bit of work here!
Improve PollingDuplex reliability with Silverlight 3.0
Andrea Boschin has another heavy-duty post up. This one is on PollingDuplex reliability in SL3B. He starts with some SL2 background then moves into the enhancements. Lots of code and explanation.
Silverlight 3's New Navigation Framework
Jeff Prosise had two up this morning... this first one is on the Navigation Framework and to make sure we notice the change of page, he is using pictures of his RC airplanes... :)
Silverlight 3's New Style Enhancements
Jeff Prosise then had this post on Style enhancements in SL3B, in particular the BasedOn inheritance, dynamic styling, and merged resource dictionaries.
Dynamic Data Forms for Silverlight, revisited
Andrej Tozon has a follow-on to his dynamic forms post of a few weeks ago. In this one he has a custom field type templated and changes to FormFieldTemplateSelector to reduce xaml... cool stuff, Andrej!
Perspective 3D Screen flip with PlaneProjection
Joel Neubeck revisits a 3D screen flip only now in SL3B. I know the pain he went through getting his old one working ... boy has Silverlight changed :)
Nobody likes seeing the hourglass... [Keep your application responsive with BackgroundTaskManager on WPF and Silverlight]
David Anson demonstrates keeping the UI responsive by using BackgroundWorker which he has wrapped in a BackgroundTaskManager class.
3D Flipper Control – Using Silverlight 3.0 Plane Projection
Jobi Joy gives us a 'flipper' control today as well... very nice demo ... I liked the 2-sided displays particularly the one that took your text and displayed it on the opposite side.

Stay in the 'Light!
