In this issue: Rob Houweling, Mike Taulty, Andrej Tozon, Kevin Dockx, and Jobi Joy.
Shoutouts (and wow... there are more than SL postings!):
First off, Tim Greenfield has a very nice Azure post up about issues in building and running in general. Not sure how many of you SL Devs are also doing Azure, but I'm keeping my eye on it. Tim's post is a good one to read if you're heading that way: Windows Azure Hosting impressions and debugging hurdles
Andy Beaulieu has a video hosted on his site of someone doing multi-touch with the Physics Helper, Farseer Physics, and an almost-surface feel.. pretty cool stuff: Surface-like Demo of Physics Helper + Farseer.
Walt Ritscher has his second post up on alternate sources for design ideas: Reflecting on Design #2.
The guys at SilverlightShow have a New version of SilverlightShow... I got a peek at it last week... looking good guys... lots of goodness over there!
Michael Wolf says See you at MIX. Would be nice to go to the workshops, but you'll just have to tell me how this goes.. it should be outstanding!
Josh Santangelo apparently has way too much fun at work. Instead of fighting PL/SQL issues like (ahem) some of us, check this out: Stimulant:XRay... 'nuff said
Mike Taulty got tired of wanting, and made his own Silverlight & WPF Control Browser ... for 3rd party tools too.
From
SilverlightCream.com:
- Creating a ColorFillToy in Silverlight - Part 2
- Rob Houweling continues with Part 2 of the ColorFill Toy animation challenge which is more of a tutorial from a new Expression MVP... very nice, Rob!
- Silverlight & WPF Control Browser
- Mike Taulty built his own Control browser in WPF ... but this thing browses the Silverlight controls and 3rd-party ones too... how cool is that?
- Making the Silverlight TreeView bindable two-way
- Andrej Tozon yikes... where DO you get the time for all this?? :) .. Andrej demonstratetes 2-Way Binding with the TreeView control... cool tutorial!
- Username Authentication with Silverlight, WCF & basicHttpBinding
- Kevin Dockx jumps right in the middle of Authentication and security in WCF... definitely something to read and pay attention to.
- A simple Multiselect ComboBox using expression Blend
- Jobi Joy takes on the MultiSelect ComboBox with only Expression Blend ... pretty cool!
Stay in the 'Light!
