From
SilverlightCream.com:
- Silverlight Themes 101
- Rich Griffin sent me this post about Themes ... very nice tutorial... have it on my list of stuff to read closer ... thanks Rich!
- Using the DockPanel in Silverlight 2
- Martin Mihaylov posted a tutorial in his style we've grown to expect on using the DockPanel... check this out!
- Using Encoder Templates in your Silverlight Application
- Tim Heuer expands on the Expression Encoder post of a few days back and discusses that with respect to a Silverlight app.
- Using Silverlight AutoCompleteBox on custom types
- Tim also takes off answering a question by using the AutocompleteBox with custom types.
- Using ImplicitStyleManager and Theme Containers
- Jafar Husain starts off with WPF and then to Silverlight and why things work (or don't), then gives a great work-up on the ImplicityStyleManager and Themes.
- Introducing the Silverlight Enigma Simulator
- Jeff Prosise hinted at this last week but now it's out with source ... he's produced an 'Enigma Machine' in Silverlight ... from someone involved in Crypto in the military and having read about the Enigma, I think this is pretty cool.
- Silverlight Tip of the Day #69 – Silverlight 2 Developer Reference
- Mike Snow posted a humonguous png file of the Silverlight 2 Developer reference. Wonder if I can span 2 monitors with it :)
- Silverlight Unit Test Framework source code released
- Jeff Wilcox reports that the Unit Test Framework is available on CodePlex for the Toolkit.
- Unblocking downloaded CHM documentation files on Windows Vista
- Jeff also posted an article on what to do if you can't open the .chm files on the Silverlight downloads. I found this by way of Shawn Burke
- Building high-performance Silverlight Media Players
- Ben Waggoner discusses just about every possible feature of a Media Player that you can imagine... all the reasons why things should be done from the standpoint of someone that's done it.
- Silverlight Gauge Graphic
- Jeff Paries posted some xaml for an awesome graphic of a gauge, and there's storyboards included to animate them... wow... it wasn't that long ago Michael Schwartz, Bryant Likes, and I played around with a gear... look where we are now!!
- AutoCompleteBox control / Worker Threads
- Jesse Liberty combines a whole bunch of goodness in this article... he's actually letting you pick how many letters to type before the AutoComplete kicks in, and he's populating half a gazillion words on a worker thread... good stuff!
- Deep Zoom... so close!
- I found this post about Deep Zoom by Jeff Putz while I looking for something else... he's got (so far) a 3-parter going on this that looks pretty good. I'm not sure his links are all working on all the pages though, so maybe come back here to get them. Part 2 is: Conquering Deep Zoom (Part 1), making tiles, and other Silverlight 2 thoughts , and Part 3 is here: Conquering Deep Zoom (Part 2), serving tiles, custom MultiScaleTileSource
Stay in the 'Light!
