Silverlight Cream for September 19, 2008 -- #373

Martin Mihaylov on the DataGrid, Bill Reis with Text, Scott Barnes Introduces Project Nexus, Jose Fajardo on Expression Design, Terence Tsang with an Image Carousel, and Adam Kinney on Shidonni.

Adam Kinney blogged about posting at least once a day to PDC, and Bill Reiss took up that challenge as well, so expect to see some good stuff from the both of them! Oh, and thanks for the shout-out, Bill!

On another note, Bill has his RSS feed now provided by FeedBurner, so you need to swap your URI.

Steve Walther has been building an application in ASP.NET MVC, and when he got to part 4, he enlisted Tim Heuer to help stuff some video into the mix, so if you're reading this and also interested in MVC, take a look at what he's doing with ASP.NET MVC Application Building: Family Video Website #4 – Paging, Silverlight and Flip , and go back and read the first 3 as well!

From SilverlightCream.com:
Editing the information in the DataGrid control
Martin Mihaylov Continues with the DataGrid control... this time concentrating on editing the data in the grid, and raises a few questions in the process.
The best laid plans...and some cool text stuff
Bill Reiss has an article up on transforming text.. unfortunately I saw this after I left the house, and I cannot get to his site from here, because it has the word 'game' in it... so I'll have to look at it later. You, however, can probably go there now... are you gone yet?
Introducing - MS Project Nexus
Adam Kinney blogged about this as well: Barnes Begins Project Nexus, and it looks like it might be a very aggressive project to follow. Now there's another job that sounds like fun... and yes I know Scott has two t's... I'll fix the database this weekend!
Expression Design needs loving !
Jose Fajardo came up for air long enough to give some love to Expression Design... are you using it in your Silverlight projects? If not, maybe you should read Jose's wise words!
Flash vs Silverlight: Image Carousel
Terence Tsang has an Image Carousel up for our learning pleasure... he also discusses his development environment a bit.
Shidonni, interactive drawing fun for kids
Adam Kinney blogged about this very interesting site for kids. Kids heck... I wasted a bunch of time drawing stuff on it yesterday... a house, a stick person, a stick dog... and then I don't remember where, but I pushed something, and ended up with a stick puppy ... got scared then and got out of it :) Seriously, there's a lot more on there than that... looks like a great parent/kid site, thanks Adam!

Stay in the 'Light!
