Silverlight Cream for September 17, 2008 -2 -- #371

Chris Cavenagh has his YouCube interactive, Jesse Liberty on Custom Controls, Pete Brown with SL TechFest session recordings, Adam Cooper with SL2 MouseWheel Support, Beth Massi building a WPF Grid, and Terence Tsang's Water Effect.

Cameron Albert has an article up on Game Scripting in Iron Python that might be of interest to some.

From SilverlightCream.com:
YouCube 2.0 - Interactive!
This post by Chris Cavanagh is not Silverlight, but it's seriously fun, and it's close... it's WPF, and it's source, folks! ... Chris has his YouCube Interactive now... check it out!
Dependency Properties – Background for Custom Controls
Jesse Liberty takes off on Dependency Properties and referenced a prior article that I somehow missed: Digging Into Custom Controls ... .when I miss something, and you notice, let me know... particularly the good stuff :)
Silverlight TechFest Recorded Sessions
Pete Brown blogged about the videos from the Silverlight TechFest in June being available... sounds like there were great sessions!
Improved Mouse Wheel Support for Silverlight 2 Beta 2 ScrollViewer
I got this post by Adam J. Cooper by way of Shawn Wildermuth... I've also added Adam to the SC database, and will be trying to catch up with his posts... looks like he has some good ones going.
Editing Tabular Data in WPF - Building a WPF Grid
In another WPF post, Beth Massi has a great article on Editing Tabular Data in WPF... lotsa code... just feel the WPF/Silverlight synergy :)
Flash vs Silverlight: Water Effect
OK this is like hitting the lottery or something... when I started this post, Terence Tsang still hadn't posted another so I was able to get another of his back articles posted ... he titled this "Water Effect", but I view it more as a magnifying glass, and is very nice!

Stay in the 'Light!
