First today as a USArmy veteran (1970-1973), I think I would be remiss in not remembering 9-11-01.
Roger Guess deployed his new game "Defend Stuff", Martin Mihaylov on the DataGrid, Inkubook's new Photobook software, Jonas Follesø with SL2 navigation, Mike Snow on the Install and creating a Zoom Toolbar, and Terence Tsang parsing XML.
Doug Blackmore's Silverlight 2 Combobox that I blogged about last week is up on the Write and Win! Contest at SilverlightShow, and I might also add, they're still getting some great prizes!
From
SilverlightCream.com:
- Defend Stuff
- Roger Guess has produced a very nice-looking game (when do these guys find the time???) ... "The earth has been scarred by a..." ... definitely something you want to go try your hand at... good fun stuff, Roger!
- Introduction to the DataGrid control in Silverlight 2
- I haven't gotten anything from Martin Mihaylov in a bit, but today he sent me a link to a new series he's starting on the DataGrid in SL2 ... in his typical Tutorial fashion ... that means it's all good :)
- Inkubook's Silverlight Photobook Software
- In talking with some folks, I found out about this site, Inkubook ... it's very cool, let's you build a book from pictures, like "What I did on my Summer Vacation" or something :) ... and you're definitely seeing it here first, because the link here isn't going to be released until Monday! ... you have to create a login to play with the dashboard they have done in SL, but with this link, you can get a free book... so now everyone be sure to come back here when you're done playing, ok? (Thanks for the scoop, Eric!)
- Back and forward navigation in Silverlight 2 using ASP.NET AJAX
- Jonas Follesø referenced Jordan Knight, whose article I had here a couple days ago, and Jonas decided to build a HistoryManager... read about issues he had, and then download his updated DiveLog program with all the source.
- Silverlight Tip of the Day #38 – How to Customize the Silverlight Install Experience
- Mike Snow doubled up on me again... another reference to not sleeping... We've seen custom installs before, notably (in my memory) from Pete Brown, but multiple references are always good, and Mike's material is as well!
- Silverlight Tip of the Day #39 – How to Create a Zoom Toolbar
- In the second article by Mike, he built a very cool Toolbar... go watch the demo, then go back for the code!
- Silverlight vs Flash: Simple XML Parser
- When I first logged in today, Terence Tsang didn't have a new link up on his home page... cool, I could get one of the older ones linked, but when I refreshed the page.. BAM... here it was :) ... This is an XML Parser comparison.
Stay in the 'Light!
