Silverlight Cream for September 08, 2008 -- #363

Jordan Knight hooking up the Browser back/forward buttons, Cameron Albert with "Joust", Andy Beaulieu with "Hook Shot", Jonas Follesø's TechEd ANZ Presentation, Azret Botash on SL & XPO, and John Papa on Event Declaration.

Tim Heuer announed a webcast tomorrow (September 9) on Troubleshooting Data Services in Silverlight.... looks like it might be one not to miss!

From SilverlightCream.com:
Control Silverlight by Using Browser Back and Foward Buttons
Jordan Knight sent me this link about controlling your SL with the browser forward and back buttons... by using the new ASP.NET AJAX History control... this is a good detailed article with external links, and all the source.
Joust : A Silverlight 2 Game
Cameron Albert took a break from Parenthia to build a game for the Team Zone Sports SL2 Game Contest, and built an interesting Joust game... he said he'll put the source up later... cool!
"Hook Shot" Silverlight Game
Andy Beaulieu also built an entry for the SL2 Game contest... Hook Shot... he also says he'll post code later, and has a bunch of good links on the page.
Tech Ed ANZ is over and I got quoted on ZDNet
I blogged about Jonas Follesø's TechEd ANZ presentation last week, and this weekend he posted the webcast of his presentation!
Silverlight and Data Access using XPO
Azret Botash of DevExpress posted a nicely done article on Data Access with XPO, with a bunch of source and a good link out to XPO information.
Silverlight 2 Tip – Declaring Events
John Papa has a good article on Declaring Events... pros and cons of when and where. Take a look and see if you agree with John :)

Stay in the 'Light!
