Michael Washington released the latest Silverlight Desktop, Anna Wrochna has three good short SL posts: How to Learn SL, What you can/can't do, displaying rich text, Michael Sync with Unity, Jesse Liberty on Templated Buttons and webcast post about multi-page apps, Ola Karlsson with SL panel on HTML, Robby Ingebretsen on Intellisense in Blend and 5 parts of SL ThoughtBox.
Trying to catch up, plus a new submittal from Michael Washington.
CrocusGirl has updated all her work to B2.
Karen Corby Reports An Early Look - VisualStateManager for WPF, so if you're tracking WPF as well, this is something to look at.
From
SilverlightCream.com:
- SilverlightDesktop 01.50.00 has been released
- Michael Washington posted a version 1.5 of SilverlightDesktop. This version allows you to upload your own modules, and might be fun to create and upload to share!
- How to learn Silverlight in 10 steps
- Anna Wrochna responded to my vacation post, so I took a look at her blog. I like her posts, so I've added her blog to the list at SC and will be paying attention. She's listed out a set of links she used to learn Silverlight, and looks to me like a good list! Then she followed this post up with More on Learning Silverlight.
- What you can and can't in Silverlight
- Anna posted this "what you can and can't do" in SL ... one made me laugh out loud, and all good info or insight... a quick read...
- How to dispaly HTML/rich text in Silverlight
- Anna's latest is this link blog on displaying Rich Text in Silverlight... again, a nice short article on her exploration, with links to the folks she learned from... thanks, Anna!
- Unity for Silverlight, Two Samples and Test Projects are on Codeplex now.
- Michael Sync has posted a bunch of Unity code on CodePlex for our viewing pleasure and possible use in DI and MVP ... what a bunch of work!
- Web Cast and Digging Deeper
- Jesse Liberty explores deeper into the material of his latest webcast on multi-page SL apps with this post.
- A third way to handle Templated Buttons & Images
- In his previous post, Jesse mentioned a third way to handle templated buttons, and in this post he discusses exactly that.
- Animated Silverlight Panel on top of Html
- Ola Karlsson posted this article for the Write and Win contest Michael Sync was running and somewhere along the line, I missed it. This is a very nice tutorial on blend/VS and building an animated panel sitting over HTML.
- Whoa! Intellisense in Blend!
- Robby Ingebretsen reported this addin for getting Intellisense in Blend, and since this is the first I've seen of this, I'm reposting it. I'd be pretty surprised if this hasn't spread through the blogosphere already :)
- Thought Box
- Robby started a (at least) 5-part series on building a 'to do' application he calls Thought Box. He is working his way through the various phases of the project, and reporting them in blog posts. This first was the intro. Next was ThoughtBox: The Data Layer , followed by ThoughtBox: Wireframe , ThoughtBox: Visual Design , and ThoughtBox: End of Weekend Progress ... a great series... follow along yourself!
