Silverlight Cream for July 25, 2008 -- #334

Ola Karlsson with Silverlight FlyoutPanel, Vlad Filyakov on SL Layout Controls, Martin Mihaylov continuing with MultiscaleImage, Chris Hay with 2-parts on SL on the Desktop, Jonas Follesø on Dependency Injection and SL, Matt Serbinski on Drupal and SL, and Jesse Liberty with resources from webcast.

Koen Zwikstra is reacting to email and has released a new version of SilverlightSpy. If you haven't looked at this, you should!

Corrina Barber blogged that all her code from the article yesterday is now using live Data Services, and the new blog post has links to the new code!

From SilverlightCream.com:
SilverightFlyoutPanel
Ola posted this at Silverlightshow, and is a nice tutorial on putting a Silverlight flyout onto an html page. This includes all the VSM goodness to 'slide' the panel out... none of that ugly code I used a year ago :) ... This is very cool, and code is on the page!
Silverlight Layout Control: building complex layouts from simple concepts
Vlad Fiykov of Developer Express has this huge page of controls all handled with the layout control, and then discusses the properties involved... good amount of work and explanation! Author: Vlad Filyakov
Getting information about the SubImages of the MultiscaleImage control
Martin Mihaylov of SilverlightShow posted his 3rd in a series on the MultiscaleImage control ... this time on getting information about the SubImages.
Desktop Silverlight Applications (Part One)
Chris Hay began a nice discussion of Silverlight on your desktop and then continued it in a second post Silverlight Desktop Applications (Part 2) ... all good reading.
Implementing Dependency Injection in Silverlight
Jonas Follesø returned to his YouCard code from a while back and this time includes IOC and Dependency injection... looks like something I should study :)
Connecting Drupal and Silverlight
Matt Serbinski posted this on Michael Sync's site and is a Drupal-Silverlight application. I've been thinking of looking for a CMS for another site and with this article, I may investigate this deeper!
Templates and Animation Webcast – Follow up
Jesse Liberty has posted the materials and some follow-on discussion of his Webcast on Wednesday. If you saw it or not, here's the materials... all good stuff, so go get it :)

Stay in the 'Light!
