From SilverlightCream.com:
Changing Silverlight Control Appearance with Corrina Barber
Erik and Monica Mork interview Corrina Barber in their latest Sparkling Client Podcast... Corrina is the one that has done the very cool skin sets for SL2, so this is definitely worth a listen!
Free Silverlight 2 training CD
Tim Heuer updated his post about the Silverlight 2 Training from a week or so ago. The AppDev folks have reacted to the feedback, and changed their offer... take a look at it now.
Progressive Metal – And, oh yeah, Silverlight
Jesse Liberty takes a walk through a music genre that I've never been involved with, but he does come back to Silverlight and outlines the project he's going to build... so even if your taste in music runs different, your taste in code is probably Silverlight, so it's all good :)
Line Rider rides on Silverlight 2
Time Heuer blogged about the Casual Game Line Rider... this was my first exposure, and all I've seen so far is the You Tube video he references, but it looks very cool. The artwork Tim is displaying on his site is awesome!
Virtual Earth Wrapper for Silverlight (VIEWS)
Here's something that some folks have been waiting for... a way to get into doing Virtual Earth with Silverlight... Marc has references and information about getting the resources to get going.
Using Pub/Sub and the Observer Pattern in Silverlight 2 (Part 2 of 2) Navigation
Pete put up part 3 of 2, or is it 2... gosh... between Pete and Mike Snow, I need a basic math refresher! Check out the article, Pete has links back to the previous two articles if you missed them :)
Silverlight DevNuggets Episode 2 is Now Up
Another from Pete... his second DevNuggets webcast in concert with Andrew Duthie is up, and waiting for you to give it a spin!
Declarative Tweening (2)
Koen Swikstra expounds in this part 2 of his Declarative Tweening post... dang, he had me with the demo yesterday :)
Building a Simple Custom Control in Silverlight 2
Adam Kinney posted a short but sweet Custom Control for SL2... you can never have too many good examples, thanks man!
VSM Strangeness
Page Brooks posts about an issue with VSM that apparently has been reported and will be fixed. Page gives a possible workaround for now... so that's cool :)
How to access HTML DOM from Silverlight and Silverlight managed objects from HTML?
Tamir Khason approaches the subject of working back and forth between the HTML DOM and SL... with lots of code!
Tip of the Day #13 - How to Get an Images Dimensions in Silverlight.
Mike Snow has Tip 13 up now on a clever way to find an image's width and height.
Tip of the Day #14 – How to Right Click on a Silverlight Application.
Mike also discusses how to get a right mouse click working for you in SL2
Loading images in Silverlight 2
Joel Neubeck has a very nice article on loading images in SL2 ... and gives four scenarios with sample code for each!
Free Silverlight 2 Refcard from DZone
SilverlightShow announed a SL2 RefCard from DZone. The card is by Chad Campbell, so I'd say it should be good. I'm going to admit I didn't finish my registration on the site when I realized I needed to input mailing info... going to have to go back and read all that when I'm more awake :)
ItemsPanelTemplate Differences in SL and WPF
Lee Compares the way some ItemsPanelTemplate code runs in SL and WPF, and just asks why...

MVP Re-Award

I'm not sure which was sweeter, getting MVP the first time, or getting re-awarded, but I got my email this morning:

"Dear Dave Campbell,

Congratulations! We are pleased to present you with the 2008 Microsoft® MVP Award! ..."

In the words of my buddy Brian: Woot!

Thanks to everyone involved in this effort, and all the time they put into vetting all the MVPs.

And thanks to all the folks that read my ramblings because when it's all said and done, the development community is what it's all about. I know some stuff but I'm far from the sharpest crayon in the pack If I can help other people get energized about Silverlight or find the resources they need to learn, then that's what feels good.

I always reference 'doing the happy dance', and I found this site on a *very* quick search this morning:

http://www.nhlcyberfamily.org/special/happydance.htm

Now I just need to wipe this smile off my face before the folks here at my client's facility think I've gone (farther) around the bend and become totally unhinged
