One Million Page Hits

1,000,000

Yeah, I know tracking page hits is iffy, but I just picked one metric and went with it... it's not the one for marketing guys showing a 'page' hit for every item on the page, and it's not the most restrictive one. I was using the analog stats from December, 2005 to April, 2008, then DiscountASP.net switched me to SmarterStats and I had to find one of the metrics that closely matched what I'd been getting before. Either that or just forget the whole thing!

I put WynApse.com up in December of 2005 and from then until November of 2006, I amassed a whopping 18,000 pages hits.

But then WPF/E CTP'd and I started writing about it, and December picked up. Mike Harsh on the Silverlight Team noticed my blog and January of 2007 was better. April of 2007 was 20,000 all by itself... more than the whole first year.

Since then it's been a little crazy and with a couple exceptions, there's been a general trend in the positive direction and sometime yesterday afternoon we crossed 1,000,000 pages.

Wow.. Thanks to all of you for visiting... as soon as I get past a couple committments here, I'll be blogging more about Silverlight 2 Beta 2, so keep watching my blog and..

Stay in the 'Light!

Thanks Josh!

Who knows if it's a *true* number, but it's fun to watch the trends.
