Silverlight Cream for April 30, 2008 - #262

Peter Matuchniak on a PodCast, Tamir on making Silverlight 'Air', Page Brooks on Disabling JS debugging, John Stockton on Textblock Mouse Event Issues, chrishayuk deeper in Isolated Storate, and Dan Wahlin/Spike Xavier with the Silverlight Song!

From SilverlightCream.com:
Podcast about Live Streaming Media System
Peter Matuchniak from Technicolor shows off a Live Streaming Media System he's been single-handedly working on... in an interview from Infragistics. Peter's system is awesome... lots of bells and whistles and cool picture over picture things. And, there's a shameless plug a little over 4 minutes in :)
How to make Silverlight be AiR?
Tamir posted this 'stand-alone' Silverlight application demo the other day and I kept passing it back and forth from home to work, and finally remembered it this morning. Laurent Bugnion did one of this shortly after the MVP Summit. Will be good to get his take, and also compare both... nice work, Tamir, and I'll be watching your blog for more :)
Easily Disable JavaScript Debugging in Visual Studio 2008
This is an post from Page Brooks from last week, talking about disabling JS debugging in VS2008. Not only does he talk about it, and explain how to do it, he's got an add-in that will let you toggle it... how cool is that?
Silverlight 2 TextBlock Responds to Mouse Events when Truncated
Continuing with a bug he's zeroing in on, John Stockton posts this demonstration, and dang if it doesn't work weird... just follow his directions... good catch, John... keep us all updated!
Isolated Storage (used.dat)
ChrishayUK digs deeper into Isolated Storage ... ok, bad joke, but really he's down in the guts of this now, and finding out where you can poke it and still expect it to work when you're done :)
Silverlight - The Song
And last but not least, let's hear applause for Phoenix' own Dan Wahlin and Spike Xavier with Silverlight - The Song.... Not only is this good stuff, but listen to the other songs Dan has listed there... impressive work, Dan!

Stay in the 'Light!
