Matt Casto with a Presentation Application and a 'Crawling Border', Nikolay Raychev on using the border control, Joe Stegman creating images dynamically, chrishayuk investigating Isolated Storage issues, and Daniel Moth on Networking.
From
SilverlightCream.com:
- PresentLight - A Silverlight Presentation Written in Silverlight
- Matt Casto gave a talk on Silverlight at the Central Ohio Day of .NET last Saturday. He did his presentation by using Silverlight to do it. I've seen Scott Cate do this with Ajax, but this is the first I've seen done with SL. The project is on CodePlex and he has intentions of adding on... good stuff, Matt!
- Crawling Border Animation
- Matt then continued with a 'crawling border' demo with all the xaml. Images done like this were all the rage in the PaintShopPro tutorial world a few years back... this works very smoothly...
- Using the Border control in Silverlight 2 Beta 1
- At the same time that Matt was sending me his border link, Nikolay Raychev sent me a link to this very complete expose of the border control... good examples and screenshots!
- Dynamic Image Generation in Silverlight
- Joe Stegman gives us a very cool little sample of creating images on-the-fly... definitely food for thought!... and with all the source, it makes the thinking easier :)
- Silverlight 2 reducing Isolated Storage Quota
- chrishayuk at http://www.silverlightuk.blogspot.com is digging deep into Isolated Storage and found that reducing storage quota seems problemmatic... read what he has to say [if you can get to Blogspot :) ]
- Isolated Storage Directories are worth 1Kb
- In a second Isolated Storage entry, Chris exposes the fact that creating a folder in Isolated Storage costs 1K... he plans on putting a video up at a later time... good digging, Chris!
- Networking in Silverlight 2 Beta 1
- Daniel Moth has gathered together all the Networking links he could find and placed them logically together on a page. I don't know if he plans on keeping the page up, but at least for now this is a good list. For grins, I did a search in SilverlightCream for Network and found 5 not counting this article. I also don't have everything from Silverlight.net aggregated. Since our lists are not subsets of each other, peruse both :)
Stay in the 'Light!
