Building a simple animated menu with Silverlight 2- Part 1
Ola Karlsson sent me these last night, and they look great. Very detailed instructions in Blend 2.5 and VS2008 ... just like that, Ola... those are perfect, thanks!
Building a simple animated menu with Silverlight 2 - Part 2
This is the second half, the VS2008 part, of Ola's SL2 animated menu... good stuff... and I added Ola's blog into SilverlightCream as well.
How does the Canvas control deal with the Measure/Arrange process
Nikolay Raychev responds to a question on the canvas article I blogged yesterday, and creates another whole post ... lots of xaml... good stuff to know!
Sparkling Client Podcasts On Silverlight
Jesse Liberty's interview with Erik Mork of Sparkling Client Podcasts hit the web. Go listen to Jesse's then nose around over there, you never can tell who all Erik got on a microphone ;)
Silverlight Project Test Page
Jonathan Parker posted this to the OzSilverlight Yahoo Group. There are others, but hey... if it works, it's good! Some examples included and you can modify to test your xaml. Only thing missing is the source :)
Video: Provide Silverlight 1.0 Support for Existing Web Sites
Michael Palermo has a new video up on Silverlight.net that talks about configuring VS2008 to enable existing non-SL sites to get on board... Michael's work is Always good!
Search::Redefined - Silverlight and Yahoo! Japan
Laurence Moroney posted this article about Yahoo! Japan. It was too busy for me to get on to look at it, but from Laurence's description, it should be a great site to view.
My Silverlight application cannot access my service!
Tim Heuer takes on questions about WebService issues that others are having that he's not, and how we can possibly get these resolved.
Silverlight 2 Networking Options
Dahn Wahlin discusses some of the SL2 Networking options from a high level, gives some links and talks about his future writing about them.
Silverlight 2 Map / DataGrid Demo (Part 1)
Jason Zander -- MS General Manager, Visual Studio, Developer Division -- and SL2 developer... go figure :) ... this is a great 2-part very detailed set on building an application starting with links to the tools ... it doesn't get much more basic! I'll be watching Jason's blog now...
Silverlight 2 Map / DataGrid Demo (Part 2)
This is part 2 of Jason's article ... and oh yeah.. the code is included ... I found these by way of
Frank's World
early this morning. I can't get to Frank's site from here (grrr), so I don't know if he's going to post the maps he was working on, sorry Frank, I can't remember if you had them done when you blogged or not :( ...
