Seems silly to even b log about it, since not only could you watch it streamed, but it's undoubtedly available for d/l or watching right now, but I'll highlight some things I thought were interesting to meĀ (like THAT's new).. :)
Not sure why I didn't think of it, but the Olympics is going to be doing Picture-in-Picture. Now that could get annoying for an app, but for a demo or tutorial... that could have very cool aspects, and dang... how hard is that??
Note to self to take a look at WebSlices in IE8, and Silverlight as WebParts.
One thing that was REALLY stressed was MS approaching the concept of controlling all your *** (devices, media, data, fill-in-the-blank) from the web... times are going to get interesting!
Scott Guthrie said all the source for the SL2 controls is available including Unit Tests under an agreement... what a way to learn how to write them!
Another note to self: See how tough the Deep Zoom stuff is to do.... it is seriously cool.
Met the guys from Vertigo this morning... great guys ... looks like they're hiring...
My first session this afternoon is Mike Harsh's 1 of 2 parts, so going to go do some IRL until then. Jesse LIberty says he's on this floor... I'll see if I can get to see him without getting thrown out of the room for not supposed to be there :)
Stay in the 'Light
