Mike Harsh produced 4-1/2 hours of video training for lynda.com that you can go grab free!, Michael Scherotter has a very nice "Press Play" xaml element to include in your Media, Pete Brown discusses thoughts on upcoming 1.1 changes, and Koen publishes some changes to his great Slideshow 1.0 application that is in the Silverlight Showcase.

I don't know how it was arranged, but Mike Harsh, Program Manager for Silverlight at Microsoft did 4-1/2 hours of training for lynda.com, and all of it is available free!
Adding "Press Play" to a Silverlight Media Player
Michael S. Scherotter produced a very nice chunk of xaml that can be added to your Silverlight Media for a nice "Press Play" effect.
