Silverlight Cream for October 18, 2007 -- #107

Lots of articles today, so I'm posting first the ones submitted to me: One correction on Ken Dopierala's latest mousewheel article... he broke the mousewheel out separately, to make it easy to use and I blew past it...; Pete Brown has a two-part sequence on User Controls as Screens in SL 1.1; Pete also demonstrates his HitTracking code in SL 1.1; and Dan Dobbs demonstrates a very nice Combo Box with code for SL 1.0

From SilverlightCream.com and yes, I know the front page is displaying funky ... very weird. I haven't made any changes, so I think it's related to the 'volume' of data displayed. I can make the search results do that as well if I give it a big list (just noticed that this morning as well. It may just be a fallout now that there are LOTS of articles in the database. Luckily everything displays, it just isn't pretty :)
Capturing The Mouse Wheel In Silverlight by RTLogicSystems
This is the MouseWheel article by Ken that I missed the 'substance' of ... very cool how it picks up the wheel without visual clues... like my colored balls in the Color Picker demo... I like it :)
UserControls as Screens in Silverlight 1.1 - Part 1 of 2
Pete Brown of IritatedVowel got this to me, and actually got part 2 to me prior to this posting :( ... all *very* cool. I really like the demo shown of all this in part 2!
UserControls as Screens in Silverlight 1.1 - Part 2 of 2
This is Pete's Part 2 ... look at this one to find the link to the demo... then go back and start reading with Part 1 :)
Hit Tracking, Usage, and Web Analytics in Silverlight 1.1
A third article from Pete demonstrating talking back and forth to the JavaScript using Silverlight
Combo Box
Dan Dobbs has a very nice-looking Combo Box example in 1.0 with Code

Stay in the 'Light!
