Product Review: Card Reader v 1.07 for Palm OS by Mobile Stream

I finally invested in some ear buds I liked (KOSS KEB/24b) and started listening to DotNetRocks on my Palm Pilot.

If you have a Palm device, you know the process: Download from the site, drag the file from your HD over to the Palm loader tool to put it on your card, then sync the Palm. So the file has to be handled 3 times, and one of the three is very slow -- the sync.

Card Reader by Mobile Stream resolves that problem. I bought it this morning from PalmGear.com on a 20% off sale for $9.56, installed it, then after about 30 seconds of looking at the structure of the card, I deleted the show I listened to yesterday and downloaded the latest DNR show directly to the Palm... worked great ... one step, and didn't seem to me to me much longer than downloading to my HD.

Check the list of supported devices. The 20% off is via a promo code listed on the page: FALLSALE, and is good until October 3.

Now to get another (larger) card and just download a weeks-worth of DNR at one shot

Ah, Palm's good old days. Too bad the company's going under.
