Last night I made a reasonably large change to the submit/search mechanism on SilverlightCream. I kept feeling hampered when I was trying to enter someone's information and could only pick one tag. It just made a lot of sense to have the categories be multi-tagged.
That's all taken care of now, and I will walk back through the current entries and multi-tag them probably tonight. Only a handful of entries now are tagged multiple ways.
A user sent me a problem report about linking directly to the SearchResults page. That was a rookie error on my part and I've now repaired that (sorry to anyone that got bounced about 8am). Since the Search Results is built during the session at time of use, it's not possible to link to it, so I now simply return you to the Search page.
Since someone tried to link to the search results page, the thought crosses my mind that a tag cloud might be downright useful. I'm using one on WynApse.com, and shouldn't have a large problem bringing that over to SilverlightCream. I'm thinking the bottom of the main page... any thoughts?
I've had questions about 'registration/login' ... I'm on the fence about this. I really don't want to compete with Silverlight.net for forums, and deal with all the problems of spam, etc. What other things would registration/login get a user? I have a CS license, so I'm open to this if I have a good reason to do so.
Any other questions/comments, please contact me through the site, or directly at dave@silverlightcream.com.
