DotNetNuke® Silverlight Video Module
Michael Washington of the DotNetNuke®-oriented aDEFWEBSERVER wrote to me with this link, and I'm not sure I've seen any DNN-oriented Silverlight posts before... good job -- code included.. always a plus :)

Denial Of Service Attack -- Continues into Friday June 22 PM now

Thanks to the "little boys with too much time on their hands" DiscountASP.NET was hit with a Massive DOS attack yesterday. It wasn't just for a period of time because pretty much everything was down sometime mid-morning until around noon, and again late in the evening until I don't know when.

Any email sent to me may or may not have arrived, and of course my site was unavailable.

At the peak, the attack was running the equivalent of 667 T1 lines! The chances of catching the perpetrators are slim... let's hope they've moved on :)

And it apparently began again today, June 22nd, sometime after I left for work and got to work. I hope they find these clowns[edited for G-rating] soon.

4:30PM on Friday the 22nd... the DOS has come back in full-force again. Supposedly it had slacked off, but my site never came back up...whoever is causing this has pretty much had me and who knows how many others out of service most of two working days. I'm glad I don't make my living off a site that gets attacked like this. I'd like to hear an explanation of what purpose this serves as well.

email does seem to squeak through now and again, but that's about it. I hope they get it out of their system soon.
