It's supposed to be towards the upper side of affordable when it ships later this year, between $5000 and $10000. The hardware is simpler than Jeff Han's screen that he demo'd early last year at TED. Milan (Surface) is built with a simple 500 lumen DLP projector and two cameras to track hand movements. With such simple parts, price should come down pretty quickly in the coming years.
