Blog Roll Added to site

Somewhere along the line, AZGroups removed the "Blog Roller" from their site. I liked it, because it was one go-to place to get my morning 'news' .. headlines from a lot of folks, similar to what you have at asp.net. I like Squeet and will continue to use it but there's just something about going to one central place.

So my goal was to build a Blog Roll for my site. I ratted around and found a blog entry from Dmitryr, talking about the release of his RssToolkit on CodePlex, and it looked like just what I was looking for.

There were some other issues surrounding the gathering and display of data that I'll discuss in an article on my site.

I also needed a way to insert new feeds remotely, so had to build that into the site as well.

For now, I just want to post the fact that the Blog Roll is alive. It might be a little slow on loading, but considering the fact that it is ratting through 18 (now) different rss feeds to pick up the information, it's worth the wait to me :)

I did find that this doesn't care for Atom feeds, at least the way I've written my part, so will have to play with that at some point.
