Increased Reading Speed - very interesting

I was pointed to a site last night: eyeQ by Infinite Mind.

The eyeQ product is supposed to increase your reading speed 2 to 10 times. On the page is a link to a Free Demo.

You take a short pre-test to get your current reading speed, do some online exercises, then a post-test. The whole thing only takes 7 minutes so I did it.

My pre-test had me at 390 words per minute and after the demo I clocked 670! That's not 2 to 10 times, but for a 7 minute demo of their system, I thought it was pretty darned amazing, and worth a mention

LOL, I guess this test wasn't for me. I tried it out, I started at 672 and my post-test clocked me at 500.

They said I must not have been relaxed enough.

Thanks for the link though, was a fun way to pass the time this morning.

meh, I went from 507 to 720. I think I was trying harder on the second go, though.

Makes me wonder...do I have to take an eye test before I read everything? Do I have to stop reading every so often and refresh with another test so I can get the read speed back up? I'd guess if I have to stop for five minutes every ten, then I'm actually further behind than I would be w/out the test.

I didn't search for any claims to long-term results, though. Maybe then it would be a good product.
