With a big dose of reality, I walked into this place this morning and found out "yeah, I really do write .NET web apps and MS Access for a living" :( ... but it pays the bills and I've gotten *way* used to eating 3 times a day :) MIX10 was great, although the buzz didn't seem as big as MIX09, and I'm not sure why. It also seemed like a different crowd and other folks I talked to agreed with that. Of course now I can outwardly admit that the "Windows Phone 7 Series" is programmed with Silverlight ......
First I'd like to congratulate all the returning MVPs, and all the new ones... fun awaits and I hope to see you all at the Summit! I'd particularly like to call out people I know that have just become Silverlight MVPS. Tim Heuer did a great post with links to everyone, so I won't repeat that. Bryant Likes -- wow... it's been a well-earned award all the way back to rolling that gear, Bryant :) Jeff Paries ... if you're not familiar with Jeff, you should be... As you all know, I’ve been at MIX09 this week, and when I checked my big list-o-blogsTM on Wednesday morning, I had about 50 tagged to blog. I was afraid to look at the list until now, and counting submittals and some non-SL3B posts, my list count is sitting at 117 – yikes! So what to do?? I kicked this around with a few folks at MIX, such as Pete Brown, CigDem, and Shawn Wildermuth, and I’ve decided that rather than try to post them by author or some other method, I’m going to try to group them ......
My numbering of the days makes sense until I get too large a number, so I just said “Last Day” … :) I’m soooo bad with names and there’s so much people and information overload… I think I need to start doing what Jesse Liberty and Tim Heuer were doing, and that’s taking a picture of everyone they collected a business card from…. or take notes :) I realized after I posted earlier that I had spent some time waiting for that first event on Thursday night talking with Rob Burke.We had some great conversation ......

I finally got to the Venetian about 9:30 on Thursday. I was kinda/sorta trying to decide if I just wanted to go to third place or Seema’s talk when I ran into Ivan from SilverlightShow and we had never really had ‘that talk’ we wanted to do. MIX09 Minus 1 MIX07 was the first national conference I ever attended, and I felt like that kid from the sticks in NYC looking up at the buildings.
