Dear XAML, We Meet Again
With Xamarin.Forms, Xamarin launched a new UI technology for cross-platform device development. Xamarin.Forms lets you use XAML to build your UI. I prefer to refer to the development target as a device, as opposed to mobile, because it seems that Xamarin is able to target anything that runs Android, iOS, or Windows – platforms that extend beyond phones and tablets to any type of electronic gadget (thing) running these OS’s regardless of whether they’re mobile, stationary, or any other executable ......

Released LINQ to Twitter v3.0.2
Today, I released LINQ to Twitter v3.0.2. This release takes LINQ to Twitter v3.0 out of beta and into a stable release. LINQ to Twitter Runs On Xamarin.iOS
A couple weeks ago, I posted LINQ to Twitter Runs Xamarin.Android. That was pretty exciting, but so is watching LINQ to Twitter jamming tweets into a UITableView in an iPhone simulator on my Mac, courtesy of Xamarin.iOS hosted in Visual Studio 2013. In this post I’ll show how you can do use LINQ to Twitter in Xamarin.iOS too. Since Xamarin now supports async and Portable Class Libraries (PCL) and LINQ to Twitter is async and PCL, this will work nicely. Note: If you haven’t used the Xamarin tools ......

LINQ to Twitter Runs Xamarin.Android

Along with this launch was several announcements that included a partnership with Xamarin and lifting of Portable Class Library (PCL) and .NET NuGet library licensing restrictions. In addition to these announcements, Xamarin released Xamarin Studio 4.2 and associated Android and iOS toolsets, which have recently supported async and now have full support for PCL. Given ......
