Git Clone Network Shared Project in Windows
Not sure why I keep forgetting this, but it bites me occasionally and maybe writing it down will prevent a search that results in Linux shell non-answers. I currently use Windows 10, but this is the case for previous versions too. The problem is that I keep forgetting that git clone requires forward slashes, rather than back slashes. In normal cases, back slashes work, as in: >net use \\someshare mypassword /USER:mydomain\mylogin However, cloning a git repository like this: >git clone \\someshare\git\someproject ......
