I have almost got this sorted with Enterprise level security - check my notes, and please ask away?
So here in Australia we might be one of the first countries to have the iPhone unlocked and provided by two Carriers? (Optus and Vodafone) BUT - only if you are prepared to wait until the end of the year? Please..... anyone I know who is seriously interested in the phone has already arranged one from elsewhere. BTW, a colleague recently found out how delicate the glass screen is, OUCH!! So I would have provided more of a quote for this story but it appears that MISaustralia.com has come up with a ......
Hi All, I have been posting both at this site as well as at my new blogging home of www.techagility.info for a few weeks now, and although I still have some tweaking to do on the graphics side of things, it's time to open the doors for all. I will probably still drop the odd post this way, but essentially all is now going to the new site. So the home page is at www.techagility.info and if you are after the feed then you can find it at www.techagility.info/feed See you there? ;-) ......
I have long been a fan of Stephen Fry's work even before our stint living in London and his ability to set forth on a diatribe on any number of topics is almost unsurpassed. Here in what I gather is only his second blog post he describes what he considers the faults of all manner of SmartPhones, and I do mean ALL as he is a self-confessed addict for PDA's and SmartPhones Stephen Fry Blessays, blogs and blisquisitions Let Fame » Device and Desires All the big guns want an iPhone killer. Even I, mad ......
Since around late 2003 I was getting fed up with Vodafone's service at the time in London and was looking to switch, I was also getting somewhat fed up with Nokia's offerings with it's monochrome screens while everyone else was offering colour screens. So I switched to Orange and the MPX 200 from Motorola, not only for it's colour screen, but also the fact that it was a Microsoft device that seamlessly (well sort of....) synched Outlook contacts etc.... Anyway, the point is that since switching to ......
I picked this up from a fellow Geekswithblogs blogger - Tariq Convert photos of whiteboards and documents into searchable PDF files. scanR is a powerful service that automatically: cleans photos of whiteboards and documents tags documents with extracted keywords delivers the results as PDF files or faxes You can try it for free, and there is also a client for WM5 PocketPC, SmartPhone and Treo 700W ......
Now some of you may recall that I recently heard a rumour that Citrix were definately prepared to be somewhat flexible on their pricing (especially if you mentioned that you might be considering something like Ericom instead?) well now it appears that they have taken that somewhat further? OK, so first of all the Good News - this includes one years Subscription Advantage (So you should also qualify for the next release?) AND also allows you to upgrade from ANY Citrix Server product, even goinig back ......
Something very interesting came across the desk today that looks very neat for the SMB space HP challenges Dell in the SME market Colin Barker ZDNet.co.uk After Michael Dell on Monday launched his company's first storage system targeted at small and medium-sized enterprises, HP responded with a system of its own on Wednesday. Both systems are low-cost. The Dell system is priced at £5,497, while the HP BladeSystem c3000 (pictured, left) costs just under £5,000. But there was a difference between the ......
So for those of you who have one, or are interested in how this is progressing it might be worth while checking out http://hackint0sh.org/forum but it's quite clear that Apple's blaze of Hype and Publicity could be bringing with some rather unwanted attention? ;-)) Files in iPhone reveal overseas plans for T-Mobile, Vodafone Posted Jul 4th 2007 3:09PM by Ryan Block Filed under: Cellphones That iPhone firmware leaked this week? Well, as found on the iPhone Dev Wiki it's been cracked open, its files ......
So this news from MSMobiles
Seems like we might be waiting just a little bit longer than we all thought to be able to get push email going on the SmartPhone/PocketPC's........ major bummer dude, guess I'll have to concentrate some more on the Access Gateway? ;-)
Again Brian's got the scoop - this has now been extended until 2007http://www.brianmadden.... Microsoft Extends Windows 2003 TS CAL Transition Plan until June 2007 I had previously reported that you had until December 31, 2005 to obtain your "free" Windows 2003 TS CALs if you bought Windows XP Professional before April 24, 2003. I'm happy to announce that Microsoft has extended this transition program an additional 18 months! If you're confused, read this article Brian ......
I was on the phone to Orange UK this evening on another matter, and just asked again about the C600 only to be told "It is shipping, but we are currently out of Stock (!!??!!) best place to check is one of our Stores?"
Amazing, looks like it'll be another case of the Left hand not knowing what the Right is doing?
So from MSmobiles I found this very neat comparison of the features - I'm actually considering replacing the trusty Orange C600 that I have been using for some while now and everytime I catch the video of the interactive display of the iPhone I do think it looks great, but..... I have to remind myself that Mobiles (even more that Laptops) are a very tactile choice and before you make the commitment you should definately have the chance to pick one up and touch and play with it - jump in too quickly ......
My mate Angus is one of these poor IT chaps who's been dragging around two mobile phones for some while now, one for Work and one Private, and he finally decided to do something about it. One option involved cutting the SIM in half, which he was somewhat reluctant to do, but now he has discovered an alternative method at Sick of carrying two mobile phones where he has just started blogging. Essentially someone has come out with a SIM card that can hold 64K memory and a USB 2.0 adaptor to allow you ......
First of all, sorry for the length of this - and I'll understand if you can't be bothered? but at least go and check out the blog at Sightlines Consulting please? You know how it is with us self confessed Geeks? You start searching or researching for a particular answer or information and then the power of the HyperLink takes over and before you know it you are in another Metaverse all together, looking around for the breadcrumbs or the piece of string to guide you back to the path? So it was with ......
So what is a femtocell? Femtocell Definition According to Mae Kowalke, femtocells are small cellular base stations that provide enhanced coverage at the far edge of the network. They will enable wireless providers and others perhaps to provide services such as IPTV and definitely FMC. Perhaps most importantly femtocells will allow service providers to shore up their coverage without the need for expensive towers. T-Mobile is rolling out this technology as we speak and there seems to be lots of opportunity ......
