This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights. The opinions expressed within are my own and should not be attributed to any other Individual, Company or the one I work for. I just happen to be a classic techie who is passionate about getting things to work as they should do (and are sometimes advertised and marketed as being able to?) and when I can I drop notes here to help others falling in to the same traps that I have fallen in to. If this has helped then please pass it on - if you feel that I have commented in error or disagree then please feel free to discuss with me either publically or privately? Cheers, Dave

Automatically Document your Citrix PS4 Environments? Sounds great to me...
Something I came across over at Brian Madden's site:http://www.brianmadden... Although it would appear that this is only applicable to CPS 4, so if you have anything earlier than this it's quite possible that it won't work. I don't have anything available to test this on at the moment, so I'd be very interested in seeing some sample output at some stage ......

New "Q" from Motorola promises to be the next best SmartPhone
This looks the business, from what I can make out the screen size is comparable to the C500 - just in landscape mode. But the size and keyboard on this just blows me away, it might not live up to it's hype, because at the end of the day these devices will live and die NOT on what it can do, but on how easy it is to use and the ergonomics of the device.Either way this is a sensational looking bit of kit that carries on from Moto's Razor:http://www.motorola.c... ......

How to get Roaming Profile behaviour from Mandatory Profiles - Some raw notes on Flex Profiles 4.01
Abstract:How to harness the resilience and speed of using a Mandatory Profile in a Large MS Centric Environment, but still retaining the Flexibility and Customisation of the Roaming Profile. Redirected Folders enforced by GPO's can take care of most of the hard work in this, but the registry and the modification of the NTUSER.DAT File still represents something of a challenge. Flex Profiles is a Freeware product available from www.brianmadden.com/content... or try Jerome's site at ......

How to add printers to a users Session using scripts
I was researching a slightly different issue, and in the couse of discovering what and how were things going wrong, I came across this article that is quite neat. Windows 2000 and Windows Server 2003 provide the ability to install a printer using a command line. This is particularly useful when you add or remove a printer from a group of users using a login script or a scheduled event. You can also modify and delete local printers using Windows 2000. The result is that an administrator can control ......

Google Earth - Military Installations?
I just can't help myself, sorry - as an ex-RAF I have served overseas as well as in the Gulf during '90 - '94. Go and crank up Google Earth and navigate to N18 18 E42 48 and you'll find the Air Base at Khamis Mushayt, big bold and brassy, this was where the F117 Stealth Fighters were based during the Gulf War. Now compare that with what you can find at N31 05 E34 08 and see if you can spot the difference?Google Earth still telling you it's out -of-order? go and sneak a peek at download.com and you ......
