And the official name is… Windows 7. You might be wondering how this is news, but really Windows 7 has been the codename up until Monday when Mike Nash announced that it would be the official name as well. The idea is that Windows 7 will continue on from where Vista left off, but to go back to version numbers instead of years and other off the wall randomness to highlight aspiration.
