Quick PPT hint

I was at a Spring Training game with the CodeTrip team today and realized that sometimes the simplest hints can make the biggest difference.

For example: Rob Bagby was complaining about a problem with PowerPoint and Camtasia. He creates screenshots of his running presentations with Camtasia, but hates having to take the time to re-size them. The simple solution? In PowerPoint, change your presentation to be run in a window instead of the full screen:

Once you have the presentation running, adjust the size of your PowerPoint window to the size you want the video. When you run the presentation, it will run in the video. Leave the "Show scrollbar" box checked so you can click the scrollbar to move through your slides and your animations.

As always, I was asked a lot about OneNote. After February, I had many of my answers down more pat than usual. But it still amazed me how eager people were to hear about this great tool. I wish I could show it to everyone all at once! One of the things I learned was that the CodeTrip team used OneNote and SharePoint to keep track of everything for the bus project. Way cool!

Oh - and while we are at it... Tim Heuer asked the other day on one of the groups I am on if people had a CodePlex project they would like to see the CodeTrip team work on. I replied - and I will add it here for all of you to see:

I want someone to write me a piece of code that takes my current map from Visual Earth and drop it into OneNote. I would be satisfied with "drop it where the default location is", but I would really love if the tool gave me the dropping locations the SnagIt to OneNote tool does.
