Microsoft Office InfoPath 2003 Service Pack (SP) 1 introduces data adapters for e-mail and Microsoft SharePoint Products and Technologies and a new submit mechanism whereby you can call a submit adapter through rules, which provide a non-programmatic method for submitting form data. This article describes the four submit data adapters, pointing out best practices for when to use them. The article also describes the three submit mechanisms for determining when a submit occurs.
