Topic One: Powershell Demo

Powershell is the newest tool added so that DBAs can batch things easily and do other admin related chores. I will show how we can work with SQL server in command prompt.
Rajib Bahir is a BI/SQL developer consulting for e2D and iCSQL. He is also training others on SQL courses at Minneapolis Community Technical College or MCTC. As it relates to PASS, he has served in PASS editorial and volunteer committee and presented at other chapters. He is also building a network of independent consultants in the SQL Server community.
Topic Two: End-User Reporting With SQL Server 2008
Speaker: Lara Rubbelke, Microsoft
Microsoft will soon release a new SQL Server 2008 end-user intuitive report authoring environment named Report Builder 2.0 designed for business and power users. Report Builder 2.0 supports the full capabilities of SQL Server 2008 Reporting Services, including the new visualizations. Learn how your end users can create rich reports - both in a disconnected form as well as integrated with your centralized Reporting Services infrastructure. We will also discuss deployment models and how to design the reporting infrastructure for end user ease-of-use.
Lara Rubbelke brings her passion for architecting, implementing and improving SQL Server solutions to the community as a Technology Specialist for Microsoft. Her expertise involves both OLTP and OLAP systems, data management, performance tuning, encryption, ETL, and the Business Intelligence lifecycle. She is an active board member of the local PASS (Professional Association for SQL Server) chapter and regularly delivers technical presentations at local, regional and national conferences, user groups and webcasts. Notably, Lara has presented at Tech Ed (2006 and 2007), the PASS Summit (2006 and 2007), the Minneapolis SQL Server 2005 Launch, and delivered numerous webcasts on MSDN and TechNet. Lara authored the Microsoft whitepaper detailing SQL Server 2005 Enterprise Edition features and was a contributing author of "Expert SQL Server 2005 Development". Prior to joining Microsoft, Lara was a Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP).
