Speech Overview:
When you hear the word governance, one often thinks only about control...controlling the way we think, the way we work and what we can and cannot do. From an IT perspective, governance planning and implementation is a much needed piece to maintain control around a SharePoint collaborative environment. From an end-user perspective, governance is often perceived as excessive control and limitations. In this session we will explore how to plan out the controls, checks and balances we need to put in place while not forgetting that the main ingredient in any good system is the end user that wants to use it. We will look at how to plan, control and monitor the growth of our systems to ‘facilitate' the end user experience and increase the overall success of our SharePoint implementation.
Virgil will spend about 60-80 minutes speaking and responding to questions. Open roundtable discussions or additional topics are planned for the remaining time of the session. Come prepared with your questions and share your own best practices!
