TechPulse 2008 Conference - 1st session review

My first session at TechFuse was a WSS 3.0 seminar titled "SharePoint / KPI's" presented by Constance Potter and Shawn Fletcher from Success Computing.  I really enjoyed the presentation style in this seminar.  Constance was up doing all of the presenting (and she was a great presenter... not monotone and boring like some sessions I've been too).  Her voice was very energetic and kept us engaged during her presentation.  While she was doing the speaking, Shawn was working the demos, so it was demo and lecture at the same time.  Whats nice about this presentation style is that if a technical error happens, the presenter doesn't get frustrated, because she can keep talking while the other person fixes the issue.

The sesion talk was about features in WSS 3.0 that help the business side measure and review files using SharePoint.  She used a sample site called Big Dog Realty.  Its a real estate agency site with 6 people all using the information.  They had everything in there from shared documents, managing alerts, using versioning, and much more.

At the end, she had brought a customer along who is rolling out a SharePoint site this week and they shared their challenge and success story working with Success Computing.

Great session Guys!  I really enjoyed it!
