Twin Cities SharePoint Camp This Past Weekend

The First Bi-Annual SharePoint Camp held on Saturday, June 14 was a huge success.  We had over 181 people registered to attend and we had over 140 show up on a beautiful Saturday.  We had one of our first beautiful weekends in MN and people still opted to attend the camp instead of being outside!  We had over 20 presenters volunteer their time, including two Microsoft reps from Redmond on the SharePoint product team.

A couple of issues during the day came up, including a broken air conditioner for the morning and a presenter who didn't show up for the first session of the day, but we didn't let that distract from the overall experience they received during the day.  We had a total of 23 sessions during the day, covering topics from SharePoint 101 to Windows Workflow to LINQ to SharePoint and many great presentations.  Thank you to all of the presenters for donating your time and giving a great presentation.

A special thanks to all of our sponsors.  New Horizons of MN, Magenic, Microsoft, Inetium, RBA Consulting, Digineer, Digital Concourse, CDW Corporation, CIT-NET, Sogeti, Code Magazine, APress, O'Reilly and ASP.NET magazine.  They all helped contribute to the breakfast, Honey Baked Ham Lunch and the ice cream afternoon snacks.  We also were able to purchase baseball hats with the SharePoint camp logo on them for all attendees as well as Speaker T-Shirts for all of the presenters.

Look for our second SharePoint Camp in November 2008 or January 2009.
