My peer on the East Coast and myself have formed a facebook group to aid us in creating an online community. I would like to invite you to come join us in this group. It is a private group, open only to those we invite, and hopefully it will be useful to exchange ideas, concerns and opportunities.
Announcing "Partner Huddle"
Officially, we have named the Facebook Group, Partner Huddle. And officially, Partner Huddle will be a social community for members of the Microsoft partner community; specifically Professional Developer and Architects within these organizations. The group will serve as a forum for the Microsoft Developer & Platform Evangelism Team (D&PE) and Microsoft Partners to share best practices; highlight early adoption success stories; increase awareness of Microsoft sponsored or partner sponsored readiness training; and increase awareness and enrollment in Microsoft early adoption programs. More importantly it provides a forum for members to socialize ideas that will strengthen and improve the Microsoft partnership.
Who Should Join
Partner Huddle is for Professional Developers and Architects working for a Microsoft Partner in the United States. But, all members of the Microsoft Partner Community are welcome.
How to Join
It's easy. There are three simple steps for membership:
- First you must have a Facebook account. This is prerequisite to joining a Facebook group.
- Next add me as a Facebook friend
- Lastly, send me a Facebook message requesting membership to the Facebook group. Include the following information in your message
- Subject line should read "Partner Huddle Membership Request"
- Body of the message should include the name and address of your partner organization
Once I have confirmed your partner status, I will send you an invitation to join the group.

Interesting article in the Wall Street Journal. Seems the web has created a new form of fan base. I am calling this MicroOwners. In the past, if you wanted to own a piece of a sports team, it was on a fantasy web site. Fake teams to allow us to dream. But now, for a small amount of money ($70.50) you can own a piece of a minor league soccer team.

Can this trend continue? Think of Micro Venture Capitol. I want to start a company. I develop a business plan and then make my pitch to the VC guys. But now, the VC guys are not suits or millionaires, they are average Joe's with a bit to invest. Wonder what the model would do.
