Once upon a time back in 1991 there was a settlement between Apple Corp(the Beatles Company) and Apple Computer which basically stated that Apple Computer will not deal with the business of selling music. Something perfectly reasonable at that time. Fastforward to today (2006), Apple Computer sells music (the digital kind) via Itunes which is the reason for this lawsuit. It will be interesting to see how this plays out...

Yes thats the name of the bucket that software like ACDSee falls into. “Digital Asset Mangement”, ACDSee being the most popular of those, and the latest ACDSee 8 Pro which I have been trying out is very good. Nice cool interface, very much improved. But an episode of the LightSource photography podcast introduced me to iView Media Pro, which in my opinion is even better. Ok, this might not be news but, thought I’d shout it out anyways. Ipod Software v1.1 has a bug for the Ipod Nano and the Ipod video. If the center button is pressed too many times consecutively it has the tendancy to get stuck on the rating screen. Apple knows about this.
