Jeff Mentioned GWB has been getting a lot of spam, and yes I too
have been a victim. But lately I've seen something different come in the way of
spam. You see usually the .Text engine send you an email when a there is a
comment posted on one of your blog entries, and typically for spam the message
is obtrusive, unrelavant, sometimes obscene, and just play eyesore. Bottom line,
you know when you have comment spam just by looking at your inbox.
But heres what I've been seeing recently (but not
quite a lot thankfully) there is a spam script(s) that basically uses the
contents of one the earlier comments for the message body, so infact it looks
like a legitimate comment. Just that the trackback is wrong. Cheeky aint
it!
