Asian Quakes

Heres more details about the cause of the Tsunamis that hit us.

I have a couple of photos of the surge in sea level of this event happening in Mount Lavinia, I will be posting them later.

Below is a map of seismic activity in the area for the past week from the USGS.

I am on the West coast (Colombo). The brunt of the devastation has been in the South and East coasts.

Right now every body organizing relief efforts.

Glad to hear you are OK as well. Like Mike I wasn't sure exactly where in Sri Lanka you were located but was praying it was nowhere near the hardest hit areas. What a horrific event!!

Yes very horrific, we never imagined this could happen. The last I heard the death toll in Sri Lanka alone is over 10,000. Whats even more shocking is that all those lives have been lost in 1 day.
