What I am playing

What I am Reading

No no no; I am not copying the Mobile Minute or .NET Nightly.

For all i know this might be a once off thing. Nevertherless Nino and J Avery sure are an inspiration (if this becomes more than a once off thing you guys are acknowledged)

Anyway just wanted to publicize some links i found

1. SharePoint free online trial

2. SharePoint on TechNet

3. SharePoint Developer Center on MSDN

4. Michael Greth's Sharepoint Weblog - probably more concise and less confusing than points 2 & 3. Best if you know german (or frequently use google translation)

5. GotSharePoint - I'm still browsing this site (as at time of posting this)

I was looking at sharepoint a few days ago as well. Mostly because I perceive a lot of sharepoint demand via jobserve. There are a few links on my site.

So - why are you looking at sharepoint. Are you doing anything in that area. I think there is some great stuff that can be done with web parts.

Yes apprently there seems to be a lot of momentum in the SharePoint 2003 area. Specailly because it brings new momentum to web development and portal infrastructure. Needless to say the technology behind the whole product is very exciting and the possibile applications for using it is numerous.

Am I doing anything in this area. Well yes, the ISV I work for has an infrastructre project being built on SPS.
And I am sure the customer potential for the product would be immense.

Here are a few more excellent WSS/SPS/Web Part articles that are usually missed by most people!

There are also the two unoffical web sites

SPS - www.spsfaq.com

WSS - wss.collutions.com

and two busy newsgroups

SPS - microsoft.public.sharepoint.portalserver (main newsgroup)

WSS - microsoft.public.sharepoint.windowsservices
