Mobile VM Manager

Description

The Mobile VM Manager was developed using Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 and the VMware software development kit (SDK).

The development of this application illustrates the advantages of using Visual Studio to develop applications that can be delivered to a smartphone through Citrix Presentation Server.

The developer was able to take full advantage of the Visual Studio feature set including debugging and the entire .NET framework. If this application was developed to run directly on the smartphone it would be limited in terms functionality available, it would be more difficult to debug and troubleshoot issues, and it would have to be customized for every supported operating system.
