C# v J*** - a practical test

At http://blog.xamarin.com/2012/05/01/android-in-c-sharp/ there is an interesting article on making C# available to Android developers and in the the midst of this article was interesting comparison on how much faster C# was than J***.

I like Xamarin's comment "Unlike Sun with Java, Microsoft submitted C# and the .NET VM for standardization to ECMA and saw those standards graduated all the way to ISO strong patent commitments. The .NET framework is also covered by Microsoft’s legally binding community promise.".

In the speed comparison test, Mono is the C# implementation. Dalvik is the J***.
