Today I started a new open-source project, based upon my CommonData project.

So what have I done so far.
  • I have created a project on Codeplex.
  • I have created some documentation at http://commoneventlog.codeplex.com/
  • I have made a VS2010 version of my existing application MAKELOG
  • Uploadloaded the utility MakeLog in its VS2010 form
  • Published the project.

Log4Net is undoubtedly a fine piece of open-source software, however it is a run-time configured solution whereas CommonEventLog is targetted at hard-wired event logging and at being as simple to use and as robust as possible.
